ABOUT

“Riverside Apartment” is a two-bedroom, ground floor apartment in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the Enniskillen town centre and amenities. It has been beautifully refurbished by Fermanagh artist, Frances Morris, with loving care and attention to detail. Every comfort is provided to make for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. There are sweeping river views of the island town of Enniskillen and The Erne, part of the Shannon Erne Waterway.

This is an ideal base for exploring Enniskillen and attractions within County Fermanagh and in neighbouring counties including Donegal, Sligo and Tyrone.

 

The apartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood and is within 10 minutes walking distance of the town centre.

Stroll along the river, across Johnston’s Bridge and you have all the town has to offer: restaurants, cafes, shopping, library, churches. You don’t need to think about using your car when out for the evening if you are in the mood for dinner and drinks in the town, just walk home!

 

The Fermanagh Lakeland Forum leisure centre, the Buttermarket Craft and Design Centre and the Enniskillen Castle Museum are also within walking distance or a short car/taxi journey away.  

 

The Multi-Complex Cinema and the S.W.A.H (hospital) are each less than a 5 minute drive from the apartment.

The apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 guests in two double bedrooms, however a reduced price is offered for one or two guests wishing to stay.
 

 

THE APARTMENT

There is a lovely view from the living room and front bedroom of the main landmarks of the island town. Looking from the left, one can see Cole’s Monument, the Town Hall roof, the twin spires of Saint Macartin’s cathedral and Saint Michael’s church, a glimpse of the Maguire Castle ramparts, The Redoubte on Windmill Hill (where there once was a windmill), the West Bridge, The Round O, and Belmore Mountain with Cuilcagh Mountain in the far distance.

 

The River Erne winds around the small island that makes up the centre of the town, and is busy with wild life, swans, seagulls, ducks, cruisers and boats.  Portora (now Enniskillen Royal Grammar School) rowing teams can frequently be seen sailing by.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions as agreed to at the time of making the booking.

 

RATES

Minimum stay: 2 nights

1-2  persons: £85 per night

3-4 persons: £120 per night

2 free nights for visitors staying a week - book 7 nights, pay for 5 nights only

DEPOSIT

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking.                                                                                

BALANCE

The balance must be paid so as to arrive no later than 4 weeks before the commencement of your holiday.

 

LATE BOOKING

Bookings made less than 4 weeks before your arrival date must be accompanied by the full amount of the holiday charge. If you need to cancel your booking within the 4 weeks you will be credited with that amount against a future booking.

 

ENTITLEMENT

Only persons for whom the booking is made and whose names appear on the booking form (the Hirers) shall be entitled to occupy the accommodation. In the event of any unauthorised person being found on the accommodation, the booking may be terminated without refund.

 

  • Bookings will not be accepted from Hirers below 18 years of age.

  • Guest rules :  no smoking, no parties.

  • A refund will not be made if the Hirer is requested to leave or leaves of his/her own accord before the expiration of the booking.

 

CARE OF ACCOMMODATION

You are requested to treat the accommodation and facilities with due care. If there have been any breakages or accidental damage during your stay, please advise before you leave. Key/ Damage deposit £50. This will be returned to you after a cursory inspection before departure.

 

THE OWNER

Riverside Apartment is owned by Fermanagh artist, Frances Morris. She has been back in her native town for 20 years and is proud to say that she was ‘Born between the Bridges’ in other words, on the island at the heart of the town.

 

Frances studied at the Belfast College of Art in the 1960s and has exhibited her work worldwide. She is associated particularly with capturing the wonderful landscapes of the west of Ireland and the Fermanagh lakelands.

 

The Frances Morris Studio/Gallery is situated in the Buttermarket Craft Centre in the town centre where Frances paints daily and offers a wide variety of her own original paintings, prints, and photographs for sale. Her limited edition prints are also hung in each room of the apartment.
